A brand new start up insurance company has been created in central Croydon to operate as a multi-channel, multi-product and multi-brand approach supported by a single IT platform. Targeting intermediaries they will be a new entrant to this market, selling a full range of Personal Lines and Commercial Small Medium Enterprise (SME) products. They expect to write approximately £300m of business in the broker channel (split approximately evenly between personal lines and commercial SME) within 5 years of launch.
Currently in the process of launching a new range of commercial package polices both though the broker market and with corporate affinity partners, they require a team of Advisors to deal with all non-technical queries. As well as being the main point of contact for both intermediaries and brokers successful applicants will be involved in the underwriting process by supporting the team of commercial underwriters and making basic underwriting decisions.
Ideal candidates will have experience in working within a customer focused insurance environment with knowledge of either commercial package, property owners or household risks. There will be opportunities for the job holder to move into commercial underwriting so strong written and numerical skills are also required.
