Position Overview - Agriculture Controller with Processing Plant Experience.
Role Priorities:
1. Deliver accurate and timely financial information for the Companies Division.
2. Oversee local accounting functions and support company programs/policies to ensure compliance with corporate direction.
3. Assist in company-wide policy development/revision/implementation, defining clear, executable financial standards and communicating progress.
4. Work closely with other functional areas/departments both in the plant and throughout the company to ensure that financial and budgetary goals are reached.
5. Prepare the annual budget for this division
6. Perform monthly analytics for this division
Role Qualifications:
1. Must work cross-functionally throughout the organization to ensure alignment of financial programs with company strategic vision, expectations and objectives.
2. Must work closely with local officials and/or vendors to ensure appropriate costs are negotiated and maintained for Plant operations.
3. Must provide clear, consistent and accurate financial information to the General Manager and the companies Leadership Team regarding costs and standards relating to new product development or operational changes.
4. Must execute the fundamentals and accept 100% accountability for the General Ledger and assisting in achieving production goals by consistently managing performance and raising the bar.

Position Responsibilities:
Responsible for all accounting functions within Division
Evaluates the financial implications of all decisions made at the division by providing analytics in a fact-based manner.
Utilizes the Oracle system wherever possible to improve operating efficiencies and ensure data reliability.
Oversees communication, implementation and administration of Company accounting policies and procedures essential to maintenance of adequate internal control of operations. Establishes and monitors internal control systems to prevent and eliminate deficiencies arising upon audit; develops appropriate systems of control required to ensure that Plant operations are conducted according to company guidelines and sound business practice.
Participates in the development of current and long-term programs, plans and strategies in support of Corporate and Division objectives; assists General Manager in formulating strategic vision for operations, financial performance and growth.
Directs annual budgeting process for the Plant and provides appropriate financial information to Corporate Finance Department. Provides analysis on actual-to-budget variances.
Minimum of 3-5 years accounting experience in a standard cost, manufacturing environment, preferably in the farming.
Ability to challenge the status quo where appropriate, providing alternate methods to achieve superior results.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, problem solving and facilitating skills.
High-level of comfort with technology solutions.
Ability to formulate and champion Company-wide recommendations and present them confidently to all levels of the organization.
