The Human Resources Generalist – Trainer serves as the off-site manager for several dynamic and growing business units. The incumbent will also be the lead training subject matter expert on the USA human resources team. The candidate must have the experience and desire to assist and implement training programs.
For your business units, you would be responsible for coordinating recruitment efforts; driving employee relations programs, policies and procedures; counseling employees on human resources matters, laws and regulations; providing advice and assistance on performance, compensation and benefit issues; and managing local performance appraisal and salary review system.
Training: responsible for the design, implementation, and execution of training programs such as Sexual Harassment Prevention, Safety, and Interviewing in conjunction with departmental managers and the Human Resources Team. You would collaborate with the human resources team to establish and coordinate a corporate-wide approach to employee training and development; develop a needs analysis with functional groups throughout the company to identify skills/competency gaps; develop relevant employee training programs to support strategic business objectives and management development.
Recruiting/Hiring: initiation and coordination of recruiting process. Ad placement, resume screening, oversee interview schedule/process, oversee testing of applicants, reference checks, formulation and presentation of offer, orientation and letter of rejection processes. Adherence to policies and laws/regulations concerning applicant tracking and selection.
Employee Relations: serve as advocate to both employee and company regarding employee performance as well as day-to-day working environment. Counsel employees and/or managers regarding a variety of issues.
Termination (voluntary): counsel/initiation of termination process, including notification of appropriate parties, oversee preparation of term package; counsel employees regarding transition.
Terminations (involuntary): counsel managers to make certain involuntary separation is appropriate and within company guidelines as well as limitation of company’s legal exposure. Advise re separation agreements, disparate impact, etc.
Performance Appraisals: administer performance appraisal process; review and approve appraisals prior to presentation to employee to ensure fairness in both content and desired next steps.
Compensation: manage process to ensure adherence to company guidelines by counseling managers regarding offers as well as salary increases. Monitors salary/grade levels for competitiveness in industry and fairness in company.
Develop/Administer/Interpret Company Policies: assist in development of policies and procedures; administer fairly across company; assist employees in understanding and working within stated policies.
HR Projects and Initiatives: participate as directed. Time and scope will vary based on workload and direction from supervisor as well as senior management.
Administrative: manage administrative matters to ensure that company maintains appropriate records necessary for legal and record keeping requirements.

Experience & Skill Qualifications:
7+ years related working experience.
The ability to maintain confidentiality.
Demonstrated stand up training and facilitation skills; program development skills a plus. Work effectively with management, professional and support staff throughout the company.
Good organizational skills; ability to prioritize, multi-task projects with equal priority and anticipate work.
Excellent interpersonal and communicational skills.
Microsoft Office skills including Access, Excel, Outlook and Word. PHR/SPHR certifications a plus.

BA/BS Required

The incumbent should have a professional demeanor, be accurate and have strong attention to detail.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field and at least three years in HR. PHR or SPHR certification is a plus! Areas of experience should include recruiting, training, employee orientation, benefits and employee relations.
