Our client is a Multi National Company involved in Oil and Gas Exploration and Production activities worldwide. In Malaysia, they are one of the PSC operators and the fastest growing organisation in the Oil & Gas industry within the region.
Position : Contractual

Responsibilities
- Ensure effective operation of the Production Data Management System (PDMS). Ensure all measurement and metering data, both daily and high frequency, is properly captured, analyzed, and stored.
- Liaison with field personnel with respect to facilities optimization and integrity assurance.
- Lead offshore commissioning activities by ensuring installations and/or changes to instrumentation are completed to relevant codes and practices.
- Makes recommendations to management to improve all areas instrumentation engineering. Prepare instrument specification sheets.
- Ensures field maintenance and production operations are given engineering direction and support. Assists in troubleshooting production operations problems.
- Tracks and compares Field performance with other facilities
Prepare procedures and technical support. Review and revision of P&ID diagrams.
- Monitor instrumentation performance and recommend appropriate improvements where necessary.
- Assist in preparation of the annual budget and monitoring budget performance throughout the year.
- Support the Management of Change procedures where applicable.
Qualifications And Experience
Required:
- University degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical and Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years experience in oil and gas with 5 years in offshore operations.
- Experience in design and construction engineering of offshore processing facilities.
- Production / Operations experience (oil industry).
- Fully trained in the on-site architectural system of the Data Control System, Safety Systems, and knowledge of specialist vendor software packages.
- Some qualification in Micro-Computer Technology.
- Willingness to travel to the field, both onshore and offshore.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is essential.
Strong communication skills.
Desirable:
- Specific knowledge of Production Data Management Systems (PDMS), Computer Aided Materials Management Systems (Cmms).
- Strong personal and interpersonal skills with flexibility to meet the fluctuating needs of operations support.
- Oil and Gas Systems design, construction, instrumentation, operations, and maintenance experience in offshore hydrocarbon production and gas transmission systems.
- Experience or knowledge of Project, Construction, and Commissioning activities.
