At the Business Unit/plant level, provides leadership in industry best practices and common processes.
Responsible for leading and implementing business process design or projects focused on identifying solutions to support business objectives.
Act as a consultant for business/manufacturing organisation and provides management support for improvements.
Interfaces with all functional areas essentially Operations, Engineering, Development, Finance, Program Management and Human Resources.
Work close with material team to deploy best practices at business unit/plant level.
Typical Duties:
1. Site Lean Leader must support the Site/Manufacturing manager on different projects related to improvement process.
2. Facilitate cross-functional expert teams to drive breakthrough or Best-in-Class performance in People, Quality, Material Flow, and Cost.
3. The Site Lean Leader has the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions with all functional areas and all levels of management as well to plan and coordinate, to gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects/schedules. Demonstrates commitment to implement initiatives.
4. He is able to teach and share with people Lean principles, to organise training session, providing continuous improvement philosophy across the organisation.
5. Collaborate with Site Manager & Lean Process Manager to assess the Current state of the plant’s Operations; Develop Future State vision and implementation plan (i.e. by using. Value Stream Analysis)
6. Coach team members in understanding Lean principles.
7. Prepare detailed plans, drive project performance, and assure timely completion and achievement of product / process quality and savings goals.
8. Collaborate with leadership to develop a plant Lean Roadmap, bridging business metrics gaps in:
• Direct work force efficiency
• On Time Delivery
• Manufacturing Lead Time
• Non Quality Costs (internal and external)
• Stocks
• Machines OEE
• Other parameters agreed as objectives
With either: Just Do It improvements, Lean Implementation projects (i.e. Hoshin).
9. Through the actions that he is leading is responsible to support the manufacturing organisation to reach the goals in terms of Q, C, D. (Quality, costs and delays)
10. Identifies barriers to project success and solicits help from champions when needed.
11. Accountable to impact on Operational Cost.
12. Monitor and report progress about Kaizen Game Plan.

| Habilidades: |
1. Has demonstrated high level performance in current and previous positions.

3. Have solid leadership skills with ability to manage both vertically and horizontally and ability to provide leadership in sharing best practice and dissemination of world-class processes.
4. Provides training and coaches about value stream principles and about specific Lean & kaizen techniques
5. Has the ability to make decisions
6. Has shown team player skills
7. Possesses basic statistical knowledge and the ability to apply statistics to product and process improvement projects.
8. Has a solid background in manufacturing principles, including Process, Information flow, and Material flow.
9. Has a solid understanding of lean principles, including: Waste elimination, Pull systems, Kanban, Visual workspace, One piece flow, Flow Production, Set-up reduction, Standardized work, Variation reduction, Error proofing, Total Productive Maintenance, Design for Manufacturing, Ergonomics, problem solving techniques, and lean replenishment systems including supermarkets, buffer calculations, line-side replenishment and level loading.
10. Good IT computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint as a minimum)
11. 2-3 years as a minimum in Lean Implementation (Desirable: Certified Green Belt)
12. HNC Production/Manufacturing as a minimum (Desirable: Mechanical Engineering Degree)
13. Ability to communicate effectively in verbal, written, and presentation skills
14. Has demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and the ability to exercise influence without authority.
15. Must understand financial performances, and to link them with improvement actions on the shop floor
16. Must act in order to sustain consistent business metrics related with customer satisfaction.
