Piping Supervisor
The Piping Supervisor reports to the Lead Construction Engineer and performs the following functions:
1. Interprets piping drawings and specifications for contractor use.
2. Monitors physical installations to ensure that work is installed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
3. Assists contractor in planning and scheduling work to obtain maximum efficiency.
4. Coordinates his discipline(s) with others, when conflicts arise, to resolve problems and prevent delays.
5. Verifies correct installation of piping with all components (supports, hangers, valves, etc.).
6. Witnesses all piping construction verifications, including P&ID checks and hydrostatic testing.
