Personnel 2000, Cayman Islands leading service provider for Employment and Immigration Services is currently looking for a Vice President Hedge Fund Accounting.
Our Agency is the most established Agency in the Cayman Islands and provide services to all the leading offshore and Cayman Islands based firms. The Agency represents leading international firms with offices in the Cayman Islands and various jurisdictions throughout the Caribbean, UK, Hong Kong, United States and Canada. Our Client portfolio consists of international Law Firms, Accounting Firms, Banks and Trust Companies, Captive Insurance Companies and a range of locally owned and operated businesses.
The key competencies and role includes:
- Handling enquiries from lawyers in respect of new business
- Reviewing and the new business documentation to ensure that the prospective client falls within the established polices and risk guidance
- Preparing a proposal for our services for external parties
- Preparing an internal proposal to be approved by our business acceptance committee
- Liaising with investment managers, internal lawyers and external layers
- Acting as a director on investment funds in an individual capacity
- Reviewing and commenting on offering documents and statutory documents
- Ensuring internal anti-money laundering compliance
- Ensuring adherence to internal procedures at all times
- Review and comment on monthly and annual finical statements
- Conduct board meetings as an officer
- Record and prepare minutes of meetings
- Knowledge of different structures available in the area that are used for investment vehicles together with their constitutive documents
- Knowledge of fiduciary duties and risks
- Knowledge of the main types of investment strategies used by hedge funds
- Above all be able to work in an open team environment whilst being self motivated to carry out duties.

Requirements:
The qualified candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree (with a concentration in Accounting or Finance preferred) and/or MBA or CPA S/He must have 5 plus years extensive knowledge of alternative investments and accounting theories and practices related thereto. S/He will have extensive use of PC spreadsheets and on-line systems. S/He must possess strong analytical and communication skills and be able to work independently and under pressure while adhering to strict deadlines. S/He must have the ability to interact with various levels of management and demonstrate superior human resources and leadership skills. S/he must have expertise in planning and organizing priorities. Ten to fifteen years of relevant securities experience is required
