We're looking for a Human Resources Manager for our North Branch, New Jersey facility. The HR Manager is responsible for the tactical and administrative aspects of the human resources function at the plant level with a client group of 130-200 salaried and hourly employees. This client group may include sales force personnel not located at the plant or multiple facilities. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the HR manager will drive the organization development process, serve as an employee advocate, manage employee relations and communications, and ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and corporate requirements within the function.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Champion the Strategic Labor Relations Plan or the Union Avoidance Plan for the facility.
• Identify and resolve employee issues through regular contact with all employees at the plant.
• Communicate HR programs and polices to plant staff and address all related questions.
• Ensure consistent application of all corporate and plant polices, collective bargaining agreements and/or plant practices.
• Champion the Organization Development Process at the plant and ensure that accurate and fair assessments of employee performance are conducted per the corporate guidelines.
• Conduct investigations of potential violations of company polices.
• Administer the local Worker’s Compensation program and management of relationship with company panel healthcare providers.
• Recruit candidates for all hourly and salaried positions using behavioral based interviewing techniques and company mandated selection tools.
• Manage Environmental, Health & Safety facility reporting per corporate requirements and participate in the plant’s EH&S management system.
• Lead a process for capturing desired changes in plant polices, practices, or contract language.
• Participate in corporate HR project teams and programs and coordinate community involvement.

Requirements:
Bachelors degree along with at least 2 years of demonstrated Human Resources experience in a leadership role. Demonstrated intermediate change management and communication skills and advanced understanding of employment law. Intermediate proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite. Bilingual in Spanish.


Preferred qualifications:
Master’s degree in Human Resources with demonstrated Human Resources experience within a manufacturing/industrial setting. Demonstrated exposure to OSHA reporting, regulations and compliance along with presentation and training delivery & development experience.
