Fun and adorable kids and junior high students.
Heart School helps to link teachers with opportunities in Japanese Public Schools in Tokyo city and the surrounding prefectures - Gunma, Tochigi, Ibaraki, Saitama, Chiba and Kanagawa (basically the areas in a circle around Tokyo city), and also Sapporo city, in Hokkaido.
Qualifications needed are -
* Be a native English speaker (a citizen of the UK, US, NZ, Australia or Canada).
* Have a Degree (BA/BS) in any subject.
note: a TEFL qualification is not required...
The schools are in varied locations, from Tokyo city to very rural locations.
We have vacancies starting during April. You need to be able to commit until March 09. After that, many teachers come in September (after the school summer holiday in August), but we have vacancies for quality applicants throughout the year.
The positions are mostly for ALTs (Assistant Language Teachers) - assisting the local Japanese teachers of English in the schools, at least at first.
Japanese language ability is not essential.
Heart School provides visa sponsorship (Working Visa) and accommodation.
The salary is 230,000 Yen/month (£1070), 35 hours a week (M-F, 7hrs/day).
A company car may be used.
Application involves a short telephone interview.
