Host Organization : Artistic Community Centre (*)
This is a non-governmental organization working in Argentina on a program of social integration for children and youth living in urban zones with scarce economic resources (in la Cava, en el bajo Boulogne, and in San Fernando). It works in artistic activities such as music, theatre, dance, and voice classes. This organization not only brings together training but also a general cultural movement involving recitals and art fairs. In time the students convert into trainers and teach other youth. In this way many people find a professional outlet and become social workers within the institution and within their own communities. The institution works on the following distinct projects:
-Community Cultural Centres: here within the past 12 years, more than 600 children and adolescents have participated in workshops from the context of poverty. Here the kids have also become professional artists and gained capabilities in social and cultural areas.
-Formation of Youth as Cultural Agents for Social Change: the youth that have multiple years of participation in the CCCs that have converted into artists and social and cultural managers here work in the perfection of their training through active participation in projects and artistic productions. Their actions generate responsibility and commitment for the rest of the community.
-Program of Institutional Development and Sustainability Generation: the formation of a team of people for the development of supplies that sustain the actions for the development of funds and the promotion of the organization’s activities. This has converted into a fundamental area in order to be able to continue making an impact with quality work in the areas of art and social transformation.
Today more than 5,400 people have been educated in these programs. 50 teens manage the 2 community cultural centres. Annually there are 60 artistic workshops. 35 teenagers have become formal trainers in these years for the organization.

Duties / Responsabilities: - Assisting in ongoing projects, such as the recreational activities, educational programs, workshops, courses, etc.
- Institutional communication assistance with international partners
- Helping the organization in their daily administrative duties
- Assisting with the design of new community-related projects
- Fundraising-related activities
