Scope:
Manage and supervises the piping activities at the site on a day-to-day basis and is responsible for the piping activity as per plan and layout. Establishes and maintains timely completion of piping activities as per project schedule.
Role :
Post survey completion by Surveyor provide access for ROW (Right Of Way) for the piping activity.
Plan and supervise all activities for trenching by proper allocation of resources.
Plan and supervise all activities for stringing of pipes before welding starts.
Supervise the welding activity of pipes to ensure that work is completed on time with all quality and safety requirements met as per procedure.
Prepare the welding report and RFI (Request For Inspection) which needs to be sent to QC before initiating inspection.
Supervise the painting/ coating activity of the welded pipes to prevent damage/ corrosion of the welded pipes.
Conduct pre holiday tests on pipes before lowering the pipes in the trench.
Before lowering the pipe in trench supervise cleanliness of trench and ensure inspection of sand pillow by QC.
While lowering of pipes conduct holiday tests to check any damage to the pipe.
Conduct air pigging as a final cleaning exercise of the pipe.
Prepare daily progress reports for review by the Piping Superintendent.
Prepare lowering report indicating specifications of the pipe which needs to be submitted to the QC department.
Carry out any other duties as and when required by the supervisor.

Degree / Diploma in Engineering with a minimum experience of 18 years |
