We are looking for Application Support Services Manager for our Cork office. With a focus on 2nd and 3rd line support, the required skills set includes development, database and systems analysis skills.
> Manage a team of Application Support Analyst / Developers in the delivery of 2nd and 3rd line technical application support to customers
> Drive the adoption of best practices and use of best in breed technology for the delivery of technical support services
> Engage in the definition of Service Level Agreements and in the ongoing measuring and reporting of performance against these SLAs
> Collate information from SLAs, Time Tracking Systems and the Remedy IT Service Management System to help staff members with work prioritization
> Manage the introduction of new applications to the Support Service, ensuring a smooth transition for Development, Support and Customer stakeholders
> Mentor staff members from both a process and technical perspective
> Hands-on delivery of Support Services when required
> Participate in resource planning to balance the needs of Support Service delivery with the needs of ongoing application development
> Drive regular Service Reviews with the involvement of staff members, Account Managers and Customers |

Key skills
Excellent communication skills, in all its forms
Experience in the management of IT Professionals
Experience negotiating and influencing at various levels
Candidates will ideally come from an Application Development background, with exposure to common RDBMS offerings (Oracle, MSSQL Server, Sybase) and with common application development platforms (Java, .NET, Powerbuilder)
An attractive salary and bonus package is on offer. This permanent appointment is based in the National Software Centre in Cork
