Purpose of post:
To be responsible for co-ordinating, monitoring and reviewing all training and development activities within the Trust and to design and deliver relevant training programmes to all staff.
The person
You will be a qualified trainer, either Chartered MCIPD, A1/A2 NVQ Assessors Award or an equivalent qualification, with at least two years’ experience of working in and delivering training in nursing, health or care work. You must have a strong knowledge of care standards and requirements within the nursing, health or care sector, and should be prepared to be flexible, and to deliver training in an engaging and motivational manner.
The role will require you to travel to sites throughout the midlands, west and south of England.
Main Duties:
. To produce Annual Training Plans for each Home, which shall include encouraging and monitoring the NVQ’s assessment and qualifications process, co-ordinating and administering the Home Managers’ Annual Performance Development Programme and identifying other training requirements as may arise
2. To design, develop, deliver and review relevant training programmes to all staff on care and Homes matters
3.To plan a calendar of management and central training events within an agreed budget and timescales
4.To co-ordinate Investors in People accreditation and retention and work with individual Homes to ensure success
5.To contribute to quarterly Trustee Reports and other relevant literature produced by the Organisation in order to communicate the success and direction of the training function
6.To work as part of the Head Office team contributing to the overall management of the homes, the running of Head Office and the promotion of the Trust
7.To maintain an up to date understanding of required and best practice training requirements within the care sector and ensure the Training Officer’s own capabilities are maintained
