Research duties outlined by project managers include using a variety of biochemical, genetic, molecular and cellular biology techniques; cloning, PCR, protein expression and genetic analysis. General organization and reporting of the experimental data to the management. Assignments involving multiple procedures and complex experimental tasks will be performed under general management supervision. Incumbent will be responsible for maintaining routine laboratory operations, including materials orders, equipment fixtures, cleaning and sanitization of equipment and work areas.

Required Qualifications: Associate's degree or higher college level courses or certificate of a four-year apprenticeship. Minimum 3 years of proven experience. Incumbents are expected to have excellent theoretical and practical knowledge of relevant procedures gained by formal training and work experience. Specifically, thorough knowledge and on-hands experience in a variety of biochemical, genetic, molecular and cellular biology techniques is required. Dedication to objective completion in a set time frame, ability to efficiently perform experimental tasks and functioning as a team player is vital.
Preferred Qualifications: BA/BS in Biology or directly related field. Expertise in plant molecular biology and transgenic plant lines creation is desirable.
