Key Responsibilities The Managing Director will be responsible for the firm’s portfolio of clients and delivery of services in Saudi Arabia in the field of man-power supply to Saudi Aramco, architectural and engineering design, and project management/ construction management services to government and private clients.
This is a role that will drive the clients growth in the Saudi Arabian market and that will focus on the leadership of the business by working collaboratively with colleagues in all regional offices of our client in the Middle East and other international client operations to develop targeted businesses and projects.
Being a key appointment and in view of the availability of business opportunities in Saudi Arabia and the strength of our clients business in the Gulf Region, you will:
• Assume leadership of the firm in Saudi Arabia
• Introduce and implement corporate policies and procedures, as well as project delivery programs of our client
• Assume personal relationship management of existing key clients, and diversify client’s portfolio to win highly profitable projects with new clients outside of current client base.
• Develop a Strategic Business Plan to grow the business and contribute to profitability and long term sustainability.
• Leverage our clients delivery capacity in the Gulf region (staff, skills, etc) currently based in the UAE and Qatar to win and support the delivery for large projects in Saudi Arabia.
• Develop project opportunities in the Saudi Arabian market and secure new business of up to US$100 million in total over the next 2-3 years.
The position will be accountable for the following annual metrics:
• Revenue
• Overhead budget management
• Net profit
• Working Capital
• Sales
• Backlog
• Staff retention and development

Experience/skills • Background in engineering design and/ or project management/ construction management.
• Tangible evidence of success in sales and management coupled with a track record in successfully developing and managing projects.
• Familiarity with business systems and the ability to deal with risk management issues at all levels.
• Ability to develop a viable business plan and the management of a USD 100 million business.
• Ability to successfully manage the complexity associated with a global matrix structure, a multitude of time zones, languages and cultures.
• Established experience in the Gulf region and Saudi Arabia is preferable.

Education • A University degree, preferably in Civil Engineering. Post graduate studies in management would be considered an asset.
