THE ROLE:
Your role as CNC Machine Operator/Setter/Programmer is to programme, set and operate the CNC machines centres in a safe and competent manner and to work as part of a team ensuring that production schedules for the Machine Shop are met.
Main Responsibility
To programme, set and operate the CNC lathes and mills which you are assigned to.
To run production on the CNC Machine Centres as well as read and use calipers and micrometers.
To ensure that the CNC machines that you are working on are maintained regularly and to a high standard.
To ensure that the areas you are working in and it's surrounding are kept clean and tidy at all times
To ensure that any oil spillages are immediately cleaned up and the affected areas are cordoned off until it was made safe again for use.
To ensure that all Health and Safety procedures are adhere to and work in a safe and competent manner.
To carry out any duties that may be assigned by the Machine Shop Supervisor and the Operations Director.
Operates automatic numerically controlled machine tools and/or CNC machining equipment to perform a complex series of progressive machining operations to meet precise tolerance and finish requirements
Total understanding and abilities to read, understand and interpret manufacturing mechanical drawings.
Ability to work independently
