1.0 Accountable To:
Sr Electrical Engineer/ MEP Project Manager
2.0 Location:
Dubai/ Abu Dhabi/ Qatar/ Bahrain
3.0 Objectives:
The main objective of the role is to provide a high level of design engineering to the Electrical Team and M & E Division. In many cases it is the primary point of contact for internal and external customers of the Electrical Team in support of the successful delivery of projects
4.0 Responsibilities:
The main duties of the Infrastructure Project Manager include, but are not limited to:
4.1 Financial Perspective
• Ensure projects delivered to programme and within budget
4.2 Customer perspective
• Interface with clients in support of the successful delivery of projects.
• Ensure that all necessary information regarding the project is circulated to the Project Team members and sub-consultants
4.3 Internal Perspective
• Project Management and technical input to reports
• Co-ordinate activities of all Project Team Members carrying separate responsibilities for parts of the project and ensure that any developments or modifications made by any member are promptly passed on to all others affected.
• Assist with marketing / bid support and development of the Electrical Team
• Carry out electrical design work and review of existing electrical designs.
• Prepare and review technical reports
4.4 Learning Growth Perspective
• As required, participate in the business development activities of the Team.
5.0 Personal Specification:
5.1 Education /Minimum Qualifications
• Degree and Chartered member of Institution of Engineers or equivalent.
• 10 to 15 years experience of electrical engineering design for Building Services
Road, rail and power infrastructure
• Experience in Heavy Industrial Infrastructure: Power, Road, Rails
• Previous experience in working for multiple managers.
5.2 Candidate Profile
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• An ability to identify innovate solutions to problems and obtain resolution.
• Ability to team build, organise and prioritise.
• Experience in Microsoft applications.
• Ability to build rapport with work colleagues.
• Construction/maintenance experience desirable.
• Unflappable under pressure and ability to be pro-active in an ambiguous environment
• Ability to produce polished presentations and reports.
