Planning Manager – Abu Dhabi, UAE - Ref: 3929
A leading construction group based in Dubai, is going through a period of rapid growth and is extending its operations into Abu Dhabi. They wish to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced person in the position of Planning Manager, to be based in the Area Office in Abu Dhabi.
Overall Mission: Reporting to the Area General Manager/Construction Manager, the Planning Manager will assume overall responsibility for Tender and Contract Planning, monitoring and control. Key Responsibilities will include the following:
1. At tender stage, ensuring close liaison with Tendering Department in the development of fully resourced tender programmes and outline method statements.
2. Co-ordination of all Planning Engineers in the development of fully resourced Tender and Contract programmes.
3. Contract monitoring and reporting on a monthly basis to Management.
4. Assisting the Commercial Department with the development of cash flows and highlighting of delay/disruption effects.
5. Monthly updating of labour and plant release/requirements and forecasting.
6. Management and training of all Planning Engineers.
7. Development of Construction Management Systems/Reports.
Qualifications and Experience – Graduate Civil Engineer, with a minimum of 15 years experience primarily with civil engineering contractors and involving on-site working and time spent in estimation planning.; previous experience in the Gulf desirable; must be fully conversant with Primavera P3 software and skilled in its use and applications.
Employment Terms - Unlimited duration contract on a single or family accompanied basis with basic salary paid monthly in UAE Dirhams (pegged to the US$).
