About Us
Our client is an international consulting business, based in the UK. We provide an integrated range of engineering, environmental, planning and management consulting services to the transport, property, development, environmental, water and renewable energy sectors.
The Transport project work is in the private sector and the Aid-funded market: it is primarily in Highways but includes other transport modes. Projects are located in Central and Eastern Europe, Turkey and Greece, Central Asia, Africa and other locations. A substantial amount of our work is carried out in association with international and local partners.
About the Role
The role has come about as a design check stage, Project Manager is required to lead the English/Greek Joint Venture appointed as the Independant Engineer and Design Checker on a motorway concession valued at 1.3 Bn EURO. The concession comproses the construction of 174 KM of new motorway which includes numerous bridges, interchanges, tunnels, overpasses and underpasses, toll stations and service areas.
The concessionaire is also required to take over and standardise 57 Km of new road constructed by the state.
About You
We are looking for a candidate with significant experience, a large proportion of which should have been managing design and supervision of large overseas motorways.
You should have a wide technical base, both structural and geotechnical with pavement, drainage and tunnelling being an advantage.
Knowledge of the Greek Language would be an advantage.
