| Descipción del Empleo: |
-- Responsible for the international design, implementation, and operation of WAN, network security, routers, switches, firewalls, VoIP, evaluation and testing of new network technology.
-- Other duties include security audits, Cisco Call Manager implementation, QOS design, and IDS/IPS implementation.
-- Provide occasional network support and manage remote site connectivity. Must be available as needed for off hours cutovers and emergency support.
-- Is required to maintain critical systems with an urgency and ownership while maintaining a high regard to the potential effects of actions taken, to the business and its customers.
-- Provides 3rd level international network technical support by resolving technical user issues escalated from the Help Desk and NOC.
-- Design, install and tune international network platforms that may need to support high reliability, optimize speed, redundancy and load balancing.
-- Performs network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common WAN problems.
-- Upgrades network hardware and software components as required.
-- Troubleshoots and maintains routers, switches, firewalls, VoIP call manager.
-- Ensures that performance monitoring, reporting, and outages are completed in a timely and efficient manner via NOC or WAN staff.
-- Establishes WAN users, security, configurations, standards, and documentation.
-- Develops and adheres to international network standards.
-- Provides users with WAN third tier technical support.
-- Provides planning and technical support for international company installations.
-- Stays abreast of new technologies as it applies to business needs.
-- Recommends and performs WAN maintenance, upgrades and repairs locally and remotely.
-- Performs equipment installations and relocation, as required, to support the business needs of the company.
-- Performs Quality Assurance testing on all WAN equipment.
-- Maintains integrity and relevance of data in systems and network management tools.
-- Provides technical leadership in the WAN Department.
-- Acts in logistics management capacity for applications development projects.
-- Performs product and system research in order to support strategic technical initiatives. Recommends technical solutions to business unit requests.
-- Performs other duties as assigned. |
| Habilidades: |
-- In-depth knowledge of layer 2 & 3 Cisco routing and switching technologies and products required.
-- Expert in IP Routing protocols (IGRP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) .
-- Expert in Frame Relay, MPLS, VPN, and Ethernet transports.
-- Experience working as a senior/lead network engineer.
-- Strong customer service skills. Must be a strong communicator and possess excellent written communications and documentation skills.
-- International work experience. Multi-lingual skills.
