| Descipción del Empleo: |
1. Work with customers, manager and other Programmer Analysts to understand requirements for simple-to-complex business systems required by group.
2. Create legible functional requirements for approval of manager or project sponsor.
3. Work with other IT staff to develop technical specifications based upon functions specs as created.
4. Follow typical systems development life cycle processes in defining projects and gaining approval.
5. Work with business unit to ensure that system is being built to defined expectations, and perform change management functions as needed.
6. Develop or participate in development of systems using .Net architecture with SQL (specifically ASP.Net, Visual Studio/C#, MS SQL 2000). We also maintain a portfolio of VB6 applications and are in the process of sunsetting applications running in an RS6000/Informix environment.
7. Analyze and perform modifications to systems as requested by manager or customer through manager.
8. Analyze and assist in correction of problems which may occur in system operations over time.
Requirements:
Qualified candidates will have:
1. Degree in computer science, or closely related field, OR significant equivalent experience.
2. Experience in healthcare IT (provider, insurer, third-party, claims processing, other healthcare) desirable but not mandatory.
3. Ability to work well with internal customers and management; and the ability to gather requirements and develop design specifications.
4. 2+ years of analysis, design and development experience in an .net, Visual Studio/C#/VB6, MS SQL Server or similar environment. Crystal also desirable.
5. Additional consideration given to candidates with background in data mining techniques, mining software and understanding of statistical analysis.
