Senior Commercial Manager/Senior QS
Job Role
We are looking for enthusiastic and hard working senior level Commercial Managers and Quantity Surveyors to work on various exciting projects in the UAE.
Our projects typically are unique large landmark multi-million pound, and often multi-billion pound, developments.
Roles we are looking to fill cover all sectors and disciplines.
Responsibilities
Due to the size and complexity of the projects we need strong senior staff in a number of key areas with experience in Commercial Buildings, Hotels, Residential Buildings, Medical Facilities, High Rise Construction, MEP, Infrastructure, Light Rail, Marine Works, Bridges and Retail, at all stages of construction.
Client empathy, relationship building & repeat/expand business
Service delivery planning, review & capturing information
People care and development
Reinforcement of culture and behaviour
Quality control of service delivery
Commercial management
Value engineering
Working in an integrated team
Providing commercial assurance to the Client
Work closely with the teams to assist in the development of integrated time and cost plans in order to measure and manage performance.
Review and produce cost estimate reports
Risks and opportunity management
Manage and control change
Manage incentive schemes
Skills / Experience Required
Extensive cost/commercial experience
Professionally qualified
Technically strong core commercial skills
Experience of major capital projects an advantage
Customer focussed
Understanding of performance measurement tools
Strong influencing and negotiations skills
Team player with team leader qualities with the ability to plan, manage and co-ordinate workload
Sound understanding of IT generally with specific skills in Excel
Smart and presentable with good all round communication skills capable of dealing effectively with people at all levels including the Client
Presentation skills
Experience of FIDIC and NEC contracts an advantage
