UEC Electronics, LLC (UEC) provides comprehensive product design, integration, and fabrication services including: hardware, software, and mechanical engineering; rapid prototyping; and a broad range of product assembly and test. UEC serves the military, heavy-duty automotive, industrial and commercial markets. Our product mix includes electronic controls, vehicle integration, test systems, power distribution, control panels, circuit card assembly, cable assembly, and complex electro-mechanical devices.
UEC is currently recruiting for an experience Production Supervisor to lead a team of 15 to 30 non-union associates in the assembly and testing of cables, wire harnesses and electronic components.
Requirements:
- Minimum HS Diploma
- Minimum of three years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- ISO 9001:2000 experience
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as required
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, spreadsheets, etc.)
Preferences:
- Associates Degree or higher (preferably in a technical field)
- AS9100 experience
- Electronics Manufacturing experience
- Mil-spec experience
Responsibilities:
- Direct supervision of 15 to 30 hourly associates
- Ensure your team meets goals for Safety, Quality, Productivity & Delivery
- Track and record associate performance
- Uphold 5S standards
- Verify associates timekeeping in the system
- Monitor and record adherence or non-adherence to company policies (i.e. safety, quality, productivity, attendance...)
- Administer disciplinary action
- Conduct employee evaluations
- Manage and track associate training
- Ensure work instructions, Control Plans, Test Plans and technical standards of all types are followed
- Ensure production schedules and delivery schedules are met and track performance to those schedules
- Ensure raw materials are available to meet the production schedule and work with the Materials Dept. and suppliers to resolve any issues
- Ensure the correct recording and reporting of quality issues
- Participate in pre-production planning and quoting activities
- Uphold the requirements of the AS9100 quality system
- Participate in pre-production planning and quoting activities
- Uphold the requirements of the AS9100 quality system
- Participate and assist in corrective and preventive action problem resolution
- Participate and assist in continuous improvement activities
- Conduct or participate in time studies for jobs
To be considered for employment with UEC, the candidate must be willing to undergo a background screening as well as be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance, both interim and final.
