Position Summary
Organizational expert in field responsible for administering major contracts or subcontracts of high risk to the company. Monitors company performance for conformance to the original proposal. Serves as primary point of contact for customers. Acts as official company and contracts management representative regarding legal requirements, customer specifications, and government regulations. Leads and conducts the preparation of highly complex proposals, negotiation of contracts and the performance of other contract administration functions as may be required.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provides close cooperation with the customer Contracting Office.
Maintains the official contract file including all contract related correspondence.
Reviews to ensure services are accurately catalogued and official files reflect contract services delivered.
Maintains certificate of insurance, business licenses, and permits.
Supervises sub-contract administration.
Advises the staff and branch managers of contract interpretations and funding changes. Provides advice and counsel concerning contract language and clause interpretations.
Negotiates changes and verifies contract documents are in accordance with government management policies.
Provides notice on the status of funds and assists in the budgeting and requesting of funds.
Ensures funds are managed properly and within budgeted amounts.
Directs the coordination and control of all required contract reports, screens all reports, and ensures company compliance with instructions.
Prepares proposals, subcontracts, modifications, and related items.
