Job description
• Carry out all required shift wise line inspections, take immediate actions to correct any non compliance to standards and report to the Manager
• Ensure standards of personnel hygiene / personnel health / personnel practices / GMP’s are met during the shift.
• Monitor all line sanitation schedules; Co-ordinate with the team and conform all sanitation standards are followed.
• Co-ordinate with the Pest Control Contractor to make the whole premises a pest-free zone.
• Actively participate in internal audits
• HACCP / ISO22000 documentation
• Maintain the specification of raw material, packaging material and finished products.
• Supervising and inspecting and reporting of in coming commercial, raw or packaging materials in concern to packaging, transportation and storage condition, physical, chemical and microbial parameters.
• Manage the day to day operations of Quality Control Laboratory
• Supervise and conduct final product testing as per specifications and report.
• Supervising and conduct in house microbial testing of Manufacturing Plant’s environment and personnel hygiene
• Maintain the calibration status of laboratory instruments.
• Manage inventory of lab supplies and equipments
• Responsible for training QC / QA / Lab technicians when necessary
• Performing other duties as assigned
Required skills
• B.Sc in Food Science/Food Technology/Microbiology/Chemistry
• 2 – 3 years of Experience in Food Manufacturing Company
• Knowledge of Quality Systems like HACCP /I SO22000, ISO17025, Food Hygiene
• Strong Analytical skills in laboratory instrumentation (pH meter, Conductivity meter, Refractometer, Viscosity meter, Spectrophotometer, Fat analyzer, HPLC, Microbiological instruments, etc)
• Ability to Interpret analytical results and reporting.
• Concepts of Quality Control and Quality Assurance
• Knowledge of Standard operating procedures, SOP’s, Product Specifications, GMP
• Ability to communicate across various functions.
• Good command over written and spoken English
• Computer literacy with working knowledge of MS Office
• Strong leadership, problem solving and training skills.
