Trade Business Development Manager - Netherlands

Competitive Salary Circa €57,000 - €64,000 + Company Car + Benefits
The Client
Our client seeks to employ a knowledgeable and experienced Trade Business Development Manager to develop their trade sales within the Netherlands in line with a major vehicle manufacturer.
The Role
Position Summary:
To deliver the national trade sales (IMT) budget, via effective development of a trade sales proposition and management of assigned trade dealers, by means of coaching, implementation of trade best practice processes and improvement of customer service levels
Primary Responsibilities
• Development & implementation of the trade programme, to include both dealer and independent repairer propositions
• Develop core trade sales and operational best practice processes, including coaching methods for delivery via the Parts & Accessories Zone Managers
• Identify potential trade dealers within a designated territory, ensuring suitable levels of sales potential and avoiding conflict with existing trade dealers
• Carry out recruitment process of appropriate dealers, by means of the defined business case and dealer assessment process
• Develop the trade parts operations of designated trade dealers as per programme guidelines and procedures:-
Implementation of the Sales Development Process
Consistent application of sales coaching & techniques throughout the parts department within the nominated trade dealers
Ensuring profitable sales growth, using margin management best practice techniques
Assist in IMT customer conversion and field based coaching to assist with sales techniques and identifying sales opportunities
Review of programme standards & core stock levels
• Develop, support and drive the trade marketing activity, ensuring effective implementation by the Parts and Accessories Zone Managers at dealer level, ensuring effective customer targeting and sell-in, along with robust sales reporting and achievement of regional targets
• Ensure ongoing maintenance of customer data with the companies defined sales reporting system to ensure integrity and accuracy of data reporting and target customer activity
• Conduct regular visits and sales performance reviews with dealers and implement action plans for maximizing sales opportunities and corrective action planning at underperforming dealers
• Build a close working relationship with the Parts & Accessories Zone Managers, ensuring a consistent approach to trade sales development
The Candidate
Target Profile
• Education to degree level or equivalent
• An individual with extensive operational parts sector experience within either a national parts factor, vehicle manufacturer and/or OEM parts manufacturer
• Minimum of 12 months experience as a regional or national manager
Additional Experience
• From working with/for a franchised dealer or a vehicle manufacturer parts operation
• From within a factor group as an area sales manager or branch manager
• Financial management experience or qualification
• Team / project management experience

o Competent, confident and comfortable at communication, specifically with franchised dealer personnel at all levels, as well as personnel within the independent repairer sector and vehicle manufacturer
o Competent and confident in the delivery of programme communications to medium and large size audiences
o Clear understanding of marketing positioning and the offer / practices employed by other suppliers of replacement parts for Group vehicles
o Able to analyse market intelligence on the threats and opportunities arising from the competition to the Group and provide suggestions / guidance on how that threat / opportunity can be addressed
This position will be based in the Netherlands therefore a good command of both Dutch and English is required.
