Job Description
We expect active and independent planning, control and implementation of Sales and Marketing strategies, classic communication measures and advertising aimed to the European end-consumer, research and development of new travel destinations and roundtrips in Honduras and surroundings for European tourists as well as the practical implementation as a tour guide.
Your tasks will match your employment and/or educational background.
What we offer
Through this internship we deliver profound insight into the working environment of an ambitious, internationally operating tour operator in Honduras. We offer practical experiences as well as consolidation of your theoretical knowledge acquired in university, and the practice of your creativity and innovation skills. We recommend an ideal duration of 3-6 months. Working options are also available for recently graduated persons, but only after a minimum of a 3-month trial period.
Remuneration will be a basic alimony of US$ 250.00 per month, lodging at fully equipped / furnitured flat is provided for all interns. Besides, we pick you up at the San Pedro Sula airport on arrival time, and also drop you off at the end of your internship. Furthermore, we also take care of your Visa renewal after a 3-month period in Honduras (when needed), and also provide any kind of support you might need during your stay in Honduras.

Profile of qualification
You have successfully completed your 2nd or 3rd year of academic studies or intermediate diploma or you are in an upper semester of your Bachelor studies. A study course or apprenticeship in the sector of tourism like tourism management or hospitality is a plus but, students of other related courses like business administration, marketing, graphic design, international communication are also most welcome.
Previous practical experience is not a must but internships, vocational training or volunteering preferably in the tourism sector (Tour guide or driver, Customer relations, Sales & Marketing, General Management, or Graphic Design) and/or longer stays in Honduras, Central America, or Latin America are highly appreciated.
We require experience with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and the Internet as basic as well as fluent Business Spanish and English. Other languages such as Dutch, Italian, French or German will be of benefit.
We expect superior commitment to your tasks and service-orientation, a communicative personality, integrity and cross-cultural competence, pro-active and positive attitude.
