This world leading Professional Services Organization is a market leader in the Middle East; they employ over 3,500 staff across the region and play a high profile role with the Governments, Royal Families and leading local/multinational corporations.
They are developing their Corporate Responsibility function and are seeking a number of highly experienced staff to join their team. The offices are spread across the region and include locations such as Dubai, Jordan, Oman, Abu Dhabi, Doha and Bahrain. They are seeking a highly experienced and educated CDM Manager to join the division. Duties will include;
- Developing Project Idea Note (PIN) as per UNFCCC format
- Conducting Baseline Studies
- Preparation of Monitoring and verification Protocols and developing Project Design Documents (PDD) and methodologies as per UNFCCC guidelines as well as preparation of requisite documents and presentation at local DNA.
A key element of the role is significant interaction with the clients, as well as maintaining good client relationships and furthering business development.
Ideally you will have a degree in engineering, and a post graduate degree in environmental science or related field is preferable.
You will need to be able to demonstrate hands on experience in the CDM project cycle from Project Generation to successful project registration. Prior consulting experience is highly desirable, Strong technical skills and experience in, or familiarity with the energy, waste or industrial sectors and knowledge/ interest in climate change policies and the carbon market is important and any previous experience of Technical and Project management experience in the energy, oil & gas, waste or industrial sector would be highly regarded.
Excellent English language skills are essential; bi-lingual English/Arabic would be preferable but is not essential.
