Role Objectives
The objective of this role is to support the Global Communications Manager in providing high quality, cost effective Network services within the region. Further objectives include the analysis of technical requirements and the development of solutions appropriate to the requirements. The role will involve a large element of project work (MPLS implementation, Internal Projects, Data centre migrations, Wan accelerations etc), interacting regularly with Users, IT departments and external Vendors. 3rd Line support activities will also be a key part of the individual’s responsibility across a Wide variety of technologies and disciplines. The candidate will be required to leverage Global resources very effectively.
· Ability to speak English (must be fluent – has to be able to go from a board room conference call with UK and the Americas to hands on in wiring closet)
· Ability to speak Mandarin/Cantonese
· Management or team lead experience
· Network integration to a global environment (Retail, banking, corporate is a plus)
· CISSP certification or equivalent experience
· Experience with WAN accelerators/optimization (must have)
· Web proxies such as Bluecoat SG series and AV engines (must have)
· 3G wireless WAN technology (needs to be able to speak on process and implementation)
· Voice spending experience (identifying new resources to keep voice calls cost down)
· IPT systems/solutions (Knowledge of IPT systems such as Cisco, specifically Call Manager and Communications Manager Express)
· PIX firewalls experience
· Strong knowledge of Checkpoint-1 Firewall
· IP-SEC VPN and firewall knowledge
· Experience with Cisco ASA appliances, 1800 and above IPsec routers

| Habilidades: |
Essential: The jobholder will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be a good team player. They must be up to date on the current network technologies and applications. Proven project management skills will also be required.
Desirable: Formal Project Management/ITIL accreditations and knowledge. Experience with RFPs and Cost optimization across telecomms and benchmarking. Experience with developing network strategies.
Qualities
Essential: The jobholder must be able to work under pressure autonomously at times, as well as a tightly knit team. They will also need a keen attention to detail, be able to retain their poise under pressure, and have a focus on meeting deadlines. Risk awareness must be part of their philosophy in terms of changes, and improvements. Commitment to detail and getting the job completed thoroughly and to the best of their ability is key.
Desirable: Interpersonal flexibility, responsiveness, self-motivation, awareness and development. Good customer interfacing skills.
