About the Product Sales Executive opportunity:
McKesson Corporation is seeking a proven Product Sales Executive who will be responsible for direct sales and working with channel partners to close service contracts with Labs. The Product Sales Specialist will work for a new business within McKesson that serves providers, health plans, labs and imaging centers in the life sciences and diagnostics space, providing a leading edge healthcare content and technology solution.
While reporting directly to the Director of Sales, the ideal candidate will implement the sales plan and identify and close new opportunities directly and through our sales partners. Above all, the position requires demonstrated success achieving and exceeding sales quotas in the Lab market. The ideal candidate also has both channel sales experience and a hunter mentality to drive a large base of customers. This is an extremely exciting opportunity to play a key role in a highly visible, innovative new business at one of the world’s premier healthcare services organizations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Close sales to Labs across 2-3 products
• Identify targets through aggressive prospecting, channel sales reps, and marketing leads
• Close pilot projects to generate buzz and establish a reference-able customer base
• Manage leads independently and through the McKesson lab and hospital sales channels
• Manage sales forecasts
Secondary Responsibilities:
Channel Management
• Manage lead generation and close deals with McKesson Lab and Hospital Channels
• Identify additional channel opportunities to develop leads and avenues to market
Feedback to Marketing
• Recommend updates to field sales collateral and channel sales training materials
• Give monthly feedback on market response to pricing
• Help identify opportunities to increase speed of marketplace adoption
Feedback to Product Management
• Recommend features and integrations that will improve Lab adoption
Liaison to Implementation Team
• Ensure we capture customer requirements accurately and completely and transfer these to the implementation team through the Solution Design process
Requirements:
Education / Training:
• 4 year degree or equivalent experience
Experience:
• 5+ years of selling enterprise software required
• 5+ years in health care information technology or services required
• Clinical lab market experience required
• Channel sales experience preferred
• Previous experience with Internet based software applications preferred
• Experience working strategically and tactically on a high performance team with multiple priorities and tight deadlines
Specialized Knowledge
& Skills:
• Aggressive and successful sales professional
• Desire to work in a fast paced startup environment is a must
• Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills required
• Ability to work effectively with a virtual team spread geographically and across departments is required
Work Environment /
Physical Demands:
• General office environment, with some potential for telecommuting
• Self-starter; capable of working independently
• Consistent conference/sales related travel
