Job Description:
The candidate will be required to read and generate schematics incorporating both digital and analog circuitry. Using this information, the candidate will build interconnected systems of circuit boards, make wiring harnasses where necessary, route cabling, hook up power supplies, run test software, and troubleshoot PCB and system functionality. The candidate will also be called upon to read and write C or assembly code for Microchip PIC processors.
An ideal candidate will be asked to generate both schematics and PCB layouts from general circuit sketches using CAD tools.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Solder components to circuit boards
2. Build and troubleshoot prototype circuitry (PCBs and interconnections)
3. Create documentation for prototype circuitry
4. Generate purchase orders for circuit board assembly (from BOM)
5. Maintain data base of circuit board Bills of Materials and component suppliers
6. Work with other technicians to install system components in electro-mechanical systems
7. Create library components for schematic capture and layout CAD tools
8. Generate schematics and PCB layouts using CAD tools
9. Write C code and assembler programs

Required Experience:
1. Reading schematics (mixed analog and digital circuits)
2. Trouble shooting circuit boards (using digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, function generators, et al.)
3. Re-working SMT boards
4. Building wiring harnasses
5. Troubleshooting PCB interconnections
6. Writing/reading C code programs
7. Writing/reading assembler programs
