Position: Warehouse/materials Manager
Candidate: Warehouse/Material Management Professional with knowledge and experience in the areas of Procurement, Storage, Supply Chain, Distribution and Logistics.
Functional Area: Materials Management - Procurement, Storage, Supply Chain, Distribution and Logistics
Education: Minimum University Degree/Diploma in Materials Management
Job Descriptions:-
1. Responsible for Procurement, Storage, Inventory Control, Logistics (supply chain & distribution) with a large scale set up in manufacturing & trading of Pvc/pe & Grp pipes & Fittings
2.Vendor and supplier development for materials procurement with strong cost controls and process definitions.
3. Develop and implement strong & smooth supply chain management strategies and distribution set up.
4. Strict & Accurate inventory control – in coordination with Purchase, Production & Sales departments on planning, procurement, production and delivery/distribution of materials and generate report on ‘demand & inventory’ for Management review.
5. High Inventory Turn-over – Minimum Inventory, cost control, exposure to JiT (Just-in-Time)
6. Effective Space Management – optimum utilization of available space with proper storage and retrieving system.
7. Conduct current and future forecasting analysis with required inputs from Sales Dept.
8. Work closely with sales and production team to drive effect production and material plans through the supply chain network.
9. Ensure up-to-date & accurate stock information are available in the system
10. Generate report on inventory of materials in all stores/yards in H.O. And Branch warehouses & consolidated stock control reports.
11. Generate MIS & Alert reports on orders in hand, orders placed, goods in transit, goods under clearance, stock in hand, order on production, etc. With inputs from respective departments viz. Sales, Purchase, Stores, Production & IT.
12. Communicate regularly with relevant departmental heads/managers to manage demand patterns and create high quality plans
13. Support sales department with providing right information on inventory status, confirmed orders, delivery status and liaise with Production dept. In production planning based on these reports.
14. Participate in customer service and operation reviews with larger customers in coordination with sales staff.
