Descripción del empleo: A leading Financial Services company with activities in Asset Management Industry is looking to recruit a qualified lawyer for the position of Head of Legal for their offices in Nicosia.

The Head of Legal is reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and has the responsibilities below:

•Ensuring the decisions and instructions of senior management and the Chief Executive Officer are adhered to at all times
•Responsible for the daily management of the legal affairs of the Company worldwide and the legal affairs of the Group Companies in Cyprus such as:
a)Ensuring the review, drafting and execution of relevant legal documentation (including but not limited to) agreements, resolutions, power of attorneys, declarations of trust, instruments of transfer, resignation letters, appointment letters, letters of indemnity, share certificates)
b)Managing the corporate governance and legal administration (including ensuring proper corporate document management thorough archives and electronic means)
c)Managing legal negotiations, proceedings, disputes and arbitrations
d)Managing the contacts with the respective Cypriot authorities and third party suppliers (such as Registrar of Companies, Tax Authority, Central Bank of Cyprus, External Law offices)
•Managing Legal work and related correspondence (local and overseas) related to allocated companies
•Lead, coach and develop the Legal Division Team
•Solving legal matters
•Ensure the smooth and efficient running of the day-to-day operations of the Legal Division
•Provide assistance and advice to Group’s management relating to legal administration of the Group Companies in Cyprus including preparation of ad hoc reports that meet the company’s information requirements, as requested by senior management and the Chief Executive Officer
•Provide support in M&A transactions of the Group Companies

Requirements for the Position:

•LLB or higher and at least five years experience in a comparable position with a law or fiduciary services firm and/or experience in corporate/company Law
•Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Internet Explorer
•Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
•Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
•Well developed organisational and time management skills
•Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
•Ability to properly use, maintain and take care of work related materials and equipment
•Strong analytical skills and a commercial, dynamic attitude
