Description of work
Preparation
At the beginning of the shift you check the production machine by ticking
of the checklist. If necessary on the basis of findings of the checklist you can take action yourself or inform your team leader/supervisor. Discuss the order/activities with the team leader/supervisor. Look the by the storage in the WIP-rack (work in progress) placed components, and check them on type, size etc.
Implementation
Continuously check whether the machines work properly. By disturbance, failures or irregularities act, for example through:
- Set the parts right
- Calibrate mean while by using masters
- Adjust the offset (angle and depth) of the balancing machine
- The correct tuning of sensors
- Detect or remedy small faults in the machine. If necessary pick up spare parts from Maintenance.
- Warn your team leader, supervisor, foreman or Maintenance by fail you can not solve
- Register failure, irregularities, numbers, scrap and measurements on registration cards and/or (measurement)lists
- During the night shift write down the details in the night book.
- The reversal of machine tool or parts on the basis of your own observation or the registration of the counter
- Check the measurements (radius, diameter) of the cancellation products, re-balance and determine whether manually can be finished with, for example, a portable grinding machine
- Check each final product visually and station them in boxes
- After the order by the Foreman/Supervisor convert the production line by changing tools or parts such as, chisels, drills, sheet crowns or cup spindles
- Adjust the machines again (using socket wrench, hex key), programme (G- of M-codes) them and exchange the robot programs
- Provide (preventive) maintenance on the production machines and production environment in the context of Total Productive Maintenance (TMP)
Complexity/competence
You receive instructions from the team leader, supervisor or foreman. You work on the basis of quality and procedures or on oral orders. You determine the time when the products can have a manually subsequent treatment. You set the production machine and calibrate them. Take measures to solve small disturbance, failures or irregularities. You must ask for permission to the foreman in case of changing the whole CNC-program rules. During the night shift you are authorised, if your team leader is absent, to contact Maintenance in case of failures. You know when Team leader, Foreman or Supervisor should be notified.
Responsibilities
- Producing turbine rotors with the right sizes according to quality
- Optimal running of the line
- Correct conversion and adjustment of the line
- Visual final inspection of the produced turbine rotors (1 to 1)
- Adherence to work and machine instructions, safety and quality requirements and procedures. Quality Assurance random checks.
Communication with:
- Team leader, supervisor and foreman at discussing the progress of the work, bottlenecks, etc.
- Colleagues at giving advice on the work to be performed and for discussing problems
- Maintenance and/or Japanese specialists to explain/discussing failures
- Quality Assurance when discussing measurements
Expression in foreign languages
The English language is required:
- Explaining serious disruptions to Japanese experts
Operators on our turbocharger production lines
The turbochargers are made for several European car manufacturers. The production of these turbochargers takes place with modern, generally CNC steered machines. For this production department we search for motivated all round operators.
Function contents:
· Operate a production machine and produce components of a turbocharger with the correct measures according to quality regulations;
· Look after of the continuity of the production lines and remedying small technical disturbance of the machines;
· Check, both visually and with measure equipment, on the correctness of the working;
· Perform of (preventive) maintenance to the production machines and production surroundings within the framework of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).

Your profile:
You are an enthusiastic, floated employee who has followed a lower technical school. Knowledge and experience of CNC steered machines are necessary and a basis training Vapro (a training for process industry) is a advantage. It’s no problem for you to work in a shift system. And you are fluent in speaking and in writing the English language.
Manual control skill
- Use of electric and hand tools, such as a portable grinding machine, keys for subsequent treatment, bring into position and providing of small repairs on sometimes inaccessible places.
- Use of measurement tools such as micrometers, radius meter for measure out of the drop-out products and the final check.
