Estimating / Tendering Manager - Ajman, UAE

One of the world’s leading international construction groups, with worldwide diversified activities, offering a full range of services in engineering and construction projects such as major ports and container terminals, berths, jetties and all types of maritime structures; pipelines, seawater intakes and outfalls, dredging, reclamation and shore protection; water and sewerage networks; power and desalination facilities; electrical, mechanical and instrumentation works; bridges, roads and railroads, sports facilities and dams to name but a few are now seeking an Estimating / Tendering Manager for their Ajman Office (1hr from Dubai) in the UAE.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Liaises with the Sales Manager in works related to tender estimation of civil, marine and electromechanical works contracts.
Leads a group of engineers dealing with technical, commercial and contractual aspects of the tender.
Reviews tender documents, time schedules and bills of quantities.
Prepares estimates of required resources and costs and works out construction methodologies and subcontracting needs.
Communicates with clients as required and works for ensuring optimum tender price as well as effective post award hand over.
Requirements:
University degree in Civil Engineering.
Ten (10) years experience in construction (heavy civil, marine, industrial) of which at least three (3) in a similar position.
Good knowledge of project execution methodology.
High sense of cost awareness.
Fluency in English.
Computer literate particularly in programs relevant to estimation.
Ability to travel extensively and work outside regular work schedule.

The salary offered will be dependant on skills and experiences. On top of the basic tax free salary would be free accommodation; Medical facilities; Car (including insurance, maintenance and fuel costs); 36 calendar days annual leave per annum; three return air tickets per service year; Corporate Retirement Scheme, and relocation expenses are on company`s account (however, the package is negotiable).
