Selected candidate will teach a two semester lecture + lab sequence in undergrad Organic Chemistry. Position is renewable, part-time and available to begin September 1, 2009
Depending on experience, candidate may be asked to participate in our MCAT prep course (spring).
Qualifications: Earned doctorate in Organic Chemistry with college level teaching experience. MS in Organic Chemistry may be acceptable DOE and candidate should have ABD status toward PhD in field. Successful candidate MUST have excellent working knowledge of Shimadzu GC, FTIR and standard lab equipment... and be familiar with use of online course management software etc.
The language of instruction is English, and candidate must speak (without accent), read and write fluently. Only full US citizenship is acceptable and applicant MUST be a US citizen prior to employment. No work Visa or similar status can be accommodated, Principals only...no agencies

Classroom based internet use, computer aided instruction is used in this department. Familiarity with Moodle, or similar course management programs is desirable. Laboratory methods for chemistry/organic chemistry, ability to speak, read and write in English is imperative |
