Job Description/Job Purpose
The Manager, is responsible for leading a department with subordinate leaders and has overall responsibility for service and quality and interfaces with support functions in order to drive customer service. He also interacts with the suppliers & also Governmentt agency from time to time to ensure smooth functioning of the Business
Principal Accountabilities
Supplier purchase, Key negotiations, develop strategic vendors
Supplier NDA, Contracts, Pricing
Logistics Incoming of materials from all over the world
Capital purchase / Revenue Purchase / MRO purchase
GPPV tracking
MPS / MRP efficiency
Stock accuracy & cycle count
Inventory, E & O Management
Supplier Payments
Decision Making
These Decisions are taken in consultation with the Director
Any abnormal contracts with the supplier or the third party vendors for any business decisions
Any price increase on any materials
Any Inventory discrepancy reporting
These Decisions are taken independently
Independent decisions only related to the procedural & process improvements without impacting the cost.
Business Understanding
Customer Focus approach & raising the level of work whenever the situation arise.
Keep transparency with the customer & no hidden agenda
Continuous price reduction from Qtr to Qtr in all Non Production areas
Communications
Good communications skills
Harmony in working with the support team to ensure the customer service not effected
Key Qualities Required
Dynamic approach, innovative in thinking & hard negotiator
Give direction to the subordinates & also key members to carry the activities in a manner as Customer service is the prime objective
Buyer dash board monitoring & data integrity
Drive continuous improvement in all areas of SCM process
Drive Cost reduction in Bill of Materials and also MRO items
International Fleet & Logistics Management, IATA rules & regulations familiarity
Problem Solving
MOQ / SPQ Handling, Material shortage, escalation process. Time to purchase, Long Lead time issues
MRP/ MPS changes, Push out & pull In Material. Inventory management, Working capital management
Logistics Management, Transit time, custom clearance
