Job Description: RTSC is currently seeking a field engineer to provide training and technical field support at an OCONUS (Outside Continental United States) location. Selected candidate will conduct training classes and perform maintenance/sustainment activities at the customer location. This position will require deployment to a OCONUS location for up to a year, or more.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Avionics maintenance, UAV Operations, and/or perimeter security sensor arrays. You should be proficient in conducting technical analysis of product functionality, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with customer specifications and configuration.
Required Education: A Bachelors Degree in a related technical field and 4 years of experience in electronic maintenance and/or training OR an Associates degree in a technical field with 8 years relevant experience OR HighSchool and at least 12 years relevant experience. |

Required Skills: The ideal candidate will possess the ability to troubleshoot technical problems and issues, determine technical solutions in accordance with product and customer specifications, and provide solution to complex equipment related issues. You must have at least four (4) years demonstrated experience in the electronic maintenance involved with UAV Operations, Avionics, and/or Perimeter Security systems. Candidate must also have experience providing training to customer personnel on technical systems. You must be experienced and familiar with the tools and test equipment commonly used in electronic installation, maintenance and testing. We seek a self-starter that has the ability to represent RTSC as the initial interface with external customers. You may be called upon to assume additional leadership roles and at times work with little or no supervision. You must currently hold an active Secret DoD security clearance, or must have held one, in good standing, within 24 months of the hire date in order to quickly have it activated shortly after starting. You must possess excellent technical writing and oral communication skills.
You must be willing and able to deploy to a foreign location to support our systemsfor at least one year.
This position is a field position that may at times require long hours in excess of a 40 hours per work week, including work on holidays and weekends, and/or during irregular times and shifts based upon Program operations and exercises.
The chosen candidate must meet all medical requirements for overseas assignment as determined by a comprehensive post-offer / pre-employment medical examination.
Desired Skills: The ideal candidate will possess training, operating and maintaining experience related to Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Systems. Experience with maintaining Silver Fox UAVs is a PLUS. The ability to read and write Russian is very beneficial. |
