Job description.
1. Plans and coordinates work, monitors and evaluates performance of stores/warehouse.
2. Ensures safe operation of material handling equipment to move materials to and from stores/ warehouse.
3. Oversees the daily routines assigned work.
4. Monitors the unloading of all materials into the Receiving Department.
5. Ensures materials are staged for counting and inspection.
6. Ensures receiving reports accurately and report about the material received.
7. Resolves discrepancies with accounting regarding invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports.
8. Monitors the flow of paperwork from Receiving to Inventory Control for timely data entry.
9. Oversees the movement of material from Receiving to the Warehouse in an efficient, effective, and safe manner.
10. Assist shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing.
11. Reading customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
12. Moving materials and items from receiving or storage areas to designated areas.
13. Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
14. Filling requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to shipping or to designated storage area.
15. Ensures materials are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures.
16. Oversees the rotation of inventories within the warehouse, Updating the Inventory about stock position of each brand accordingly.
17. Assisting in counting of physical inventory.
18. Recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.
19. Assembling customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or relocating orders to a holding area or shipping department.
20. Marking materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
21. Opening boxes, bales, crates, and other containers.
22. Counting items for distribution to showrooms to ensure conformance to company standards.
23. Completing requisition forms to order supplies from other departments.
24. Organizing warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
