The Sales Associate is responsible for assisting with the development and management of sales opportunities with potential clients in Mexico. Your main responsibility is to develop a pipeline of new business selling OSS/BSS Solutions for Service Providers and be able to demonstrate the value propositions of our products and services. You will manage a broad territory and must be able to carry the entire sales process from start to finish on your own merits and skills.
It is your duty to assist your team in optimizing existing accounts and prospects, as well as, interface with other departments, as needed, to drive business within accounts and resolve any issues that may arise. Ability to travel domestically and internationally required.
The successful candidate must be fluent in Spanish and English, customer focused, success oriented, a team player, and innovative in your problem solving abilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Build and establish strong relationships with new accounts and within major existing accounts including product managers, buyers, planners, etc.
Meet or exceed sales and profit goals established by upper management.
Assist customers with all account related questions, issues, or concerns.
Provide accurate, timely information to the customers regarding inquiries such as products, pricing, and quotes.
Prospect and close sales.
Prepare sales proposals.
Deliver in-person sales presentation to prospective clients.
Travel to tradeshows and customer sites, depending on assignment, international travel may be required.
Remain current on trends, and happenings in telecommunications.
Experience
Selling background, preferably selling software systems, application outsourcing, Telecommunication and/or comprehensive technology solutions sales.
Experience selling business solutions in the telecommunications industry preferred.
Must understand basic OSS and/or BSS concepts.
Must possess strong oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated experience in meeting and exceeding sales quota.
Must be available to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
Strong negotiation and closing skills.
Education Requirements
The candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following: Computer Science, Telecommunications, Business, Marketing, Sales or related field, or equivalent work experience in software/technology industry and possess a good academic record.
