The Infrastructure division provides engineering consultancy services in the areas of water, wastewater, drainage, solid waste, environmental impact assessments and power and telecommunications. Working within the Infrastructure Division the Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for the design of some of the most integral power and communication resource facilities within Doha, Qatar.
Preference will be given to qualified candidates who can demonstrate experience in the following:
• Significant knowledge and experience in primary and secondary substation conceptual & detailed design ranging from 11kV to 400kV.
• Proven ability associated with, primary plant selection, typically, circuit breakers, disconnectors, double and single bus-bar configuration, knowledge of breaker and a half schemes would be advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to compile single line and circuit diagrams coupled with a strong understanding of numeric protection, protection applications and relay setting/coordination.
• Capability to review design documents, provide technical guidance and support where required, assisting and contributing to relevant stakeholders, consultants, project managers, clients and EPIC contractors.
• Minimum 7 years post graduate experience working on similar sub-station design projects.
Qualification: Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering. Membership of an internationally recognized professional Association is preferred.
Previous experience gained within a Consultancy or electrical asset owner environment would be beneficial, prior experience in the Gulf Region is advantageous.
