B.Sc. in Industrial or Civil Engineering
Seven years of relevant experience among which at least three in a supervisory position in a construction company.
Extensive knowledge of quality and quality standards, particularly those of ISO. Practical knowledge of testing, inspection and quality assurance methods and techniques. Professional knowledge in quality management systems. Professional knowledge in laboratory, inspection and testing. Professional knowledge in statistics.
Ability to Manage people effectively. Ability to track detailed information. Ability to discuss and communicate technical issues with non-technical people. Professional quantitative and analytical skills and strong organizational skills. Ability to exhibit sound and accurate judgment. Planning and organizing skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Basic computer skills.
Setting and supervising the implementation of quality standards and testing and inspection as per policies, processes and procedures. Ensuring continuous compliance with quality standards, particularly those of ISO, as well as providing advice and recommendations regarding quality improvement Implementing the applied quality systems such as ISO and coordinating with all entities within the project to ensure implementing the required preventive/ corrective actions to overcome any quality problems, so as to ensure that projects quality is meeting or exceeding the clients` expectations and the applied quality standards. Executing endorsed plans and programs to achieve set goals. Monitoring all quality related activities to ensure that the quality of the phases of the project is according to the approved standards. Monitoring the preparation of all the documents required in the ISO and other quality management systems deployed and following up on any implementation requirements that may arise. Preparing the quality control plan for the project and ensuring its implementation. Reviewing and developing the quality inspection and testing procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of quality standards and to improve the quality of the phases and meet or exceed the client expectations. Executing the inspection process of the received supplies/ materials to the projects to ensure their quality meets the desired standards. Continuously monitoring the investigation process to find out the root cause behind any quality problems that arise during the course of the project and directing the implementation of the required corrective actions to overcome these problems. Coordinating with concerned entities within the project on all technical issues to ensure that the phases meet the desired quality standards. Reviewing the adopted standards in the project to ensure that these standards are updated and meets clients` expectations. Coordinating with the QA/ QC Manager in the head office to ensure the proper implementation of plans, systems and procedures. Developing and establishing standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation and ensuring abiding by them. Providing advice and recommendation on continuous improvement related to new and existing processes within the project. Setting and overseeing the implementation of testing and inspection schedules and ensuring the compliance with the set date and requirements. Communicating audit results and recommendations with concerned entities, particularly head office managers. Preparing periodic reports with respect to the section’s activities and achievements to be submitted to the direct supervisor.
