Mechanical Engineer
B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
Five(5) years preferably in design and engineering works in a hi-rise building construction.
Professional knowledge in AutoCAD application, in reading engineering design plans,
in thermodynamics and mechanical systems
Systematic thinking and analytical skills, Decision making and problem solving abilities, Follow-up and monitoring skills, Planning and organizing skills, Ability to perform Risk Analysis, Coordination Skills, Dependability and Good Computer Skills.
Investigating and researching different equipment and components used in ESEC’s construction projects to specify the required machinery, vehicles, cooling & heating systems…etc as well as developing the necessary engineering designs as per the client’s requirements & specifications and in compliance with national/international standards. Investigating and researching the site to advise on the most suitable foundation for a proposed construction with regards to client’s needs and budget. Producing detailed structure designs and documentation for the construction and implementation of ESEC’s projects. Preparing and analyzing suitable configurations of the basic mechanical components of buildings or other structure. Checking that finished works are within specifications, regulations and contract provisions. Designing and implementing cost-effective equipment modifications to help improve safety, reliability and throughput. Liaising, working jointly and negotiating modifications on design plans with Civil & Structural. Considering the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraints. Preparing periodic reports with respect to the department`s activities and achievements to be submitted to the Section Head. Performing other duties related to the job as assigned by the Section Head. Coordinating with Civil & Structural Engineers to review and modify design plans. Coordinating with Procurement Department to follow up on material & equipments’ delivery to project sites. Coordinating with Materials Management Department to ensure suitability of used materials.
