Hello, I have been retained by a client that is a major player in the Wind Industry to
Source a Director of Human Resources for a very large plant in Quebec.

| Habilidades: |
Tasks/ Work to be performed:
ƒ~ Assume full management responsibility for all HR Department services and activities including the enforcement of HR laws and regulations, administration of the associate selection process, administration of the compensation and benefit program, administration of the ADA, employee health and safety, and employee relations; recommend and administer policies and procedures.
ƒ~ Manage the development and implementation of HR Department goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for each assigned service area.
ƒ~ Establish, with company policy and in conjunction with department managers, appropriate service and staffing levels; monitor and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures; allocate resources accordingly.
ƒ~ Plan, direct and coordinate, through subordinate level staff, the HR Department¡¦s work plan; assign projects and programmatic areas of responsibility; review and evaluate work methods and procedures; meet with management staff to identify and resolve problems.
ƒ~ Assess and monitor work load, administrative and support systems, and internal reporting relationships; identify opportunities for improvement; direct and implement change.
ƒ~ Conduct, analyze and make recommendations to salary and benefit surveys.
ƒ~ Review training needs of all departments; provide recommendations on development and implementation.
ƒ~ Analyze jobs to develop safe practice rules; investigate accidents, analyze causes and make recommendations for accident prevention; implement and manage a risk management program; coordinate workers compensation work insurance carrier.
ƒ~ Conduct reviews and investigations on associate complaints, personnel issues, associate disciplinary action and mediate personnel disputes; advise supervisors and managers on how to handle complaints and disciplinary actions and assist all parties in reaching an agreement.
ƒ~ Select, train, motivate and evaluate HR Department personnel; provide or coordinate staff training; work with associates to correct deficiencies; implement disciplinary and termination procedures.
ƒ~ Explain, justify and defend HR Department programs, policies, and activities; negotiate and resolve sensitive and controversial issues.
ƒ~ Consult and serve in an advisory capacity to all supervisors and managers.
Knowledge
A) Equivalent to a Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
B) Five years of increasingly responsible Human Resource Management experience including three years administrative and supervisory responsibility
C) Computer Literacy
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Effective written and oral communication skills
Ability to remain standing or sitting for extended periods during workday
Ability to use hands for quick or repeated movement
