Job Description:
The application developer designs and implements applications, systems and tools. The application developer actively participates in the discussion and design of end-to-end applications.
The application developer must be proficient in client side web development as well as server side library development.
The application developer creates and/or assists creation of prototypes. The application developers document their ideas clearly, in a structured way using UML notation and compose the technical and design documentation for their assignments.
The application developer works in a structured environment as part of a team, following design, coding, communication and documentation guidelines.
The application developer provides a regular feedback about technology, industry and field trends and assists team managers in the decision-making processes.
The application developer understands, applies and assists others in applying design and usability principles and best practices.
Job Environment and tools:
The development process is done mainly using Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 as well as variety of other web development tools.
The development process typically includes C#, JavaScript, HTML, DHTML, CSS, ASP.NET, XML, XSLT
The database technology typically includes MS SQL 2005.
Source control tools utilized are TFS and MS Visual Source Safe.
Enterprise architect (from www . Sparxsystems . Com ) is typically used for business and engineering design.
Microsoft office is typically used for various documentation and presentation purposes.
Job Responsibilities:
Design, document and develop applications, systems, screens, controls, sites and web components working under multiple browsers and platforms.
Provide quality and accurate design, code base and supporting documentation
Participate in a joint design sessions.
Implements test routines
Assist Quality Assurance in developing and implementing test cases
Assist Business Analysts in wire framing
Provide design and usability expertise and guidelines
Follow team design, development, coding, communication and documentation guidelines and assist project leads to extend and apply these guidelines.
Provide accurate estimation for its work in a timely fashion
Provide regular progress reports to his manager |
