Job Description
Responsibilities
Windows L3 support. Server Restoration, root Cause Analysis, Routine day-to-day maintenance and administration of windows servers and Implementation of standard tickets and change requests.
Problem resolution & troubleshooting and server management.
Desired Candidate Profile
Essential Knowledge
1. Strong knowledge on Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000 & Windows 2003 including Active Directory.
2. Knowledge in troubleshooting skills on MS Clusters, Windows Load Balancing
3. Should have experience in backup products like VERITAS, BackupExic, TSM
4. Experience in handling monthly MS Server patching in a timely manner.
5. Expertise in WINS, DNS, DHCP & TCP/IP protocol suite and command line utilities
6. Auditing of server properties, and generating reports as required.
7. Good Working knowledge on HP/IBM and DELL hardware and RAID concepts.
8. Knowledge of Windows Registry, including knowledge of modifying system registry to support installed applications and document configuration changes.
9. Strong verbal and written communication skills to document issues and activities in a positive & professional manner.
10. Team player with professional work ethic, positive attitude, and good interpersonal skills.
11. Ability to work effectively under pressure.
12. Experience in Citrix and VMware.
13. The candidate should be open to on-call rotation and occasional off hours work.
