Heavy Highway Estimator - Raleigh Nc
Base Salary 100K + DOE
Position is full-time with Benefits and possible Relocation

Position Responsibilities:
Leading and sponsoring the preparation of accurate and timely estimates of grading and roadway project bids
Performing construction plan take offs
Attending pre-bid meetings, securing and comparing competitive prices from vendors and subcontractors
Visiting jobsites to determine field conditions relating to project bids, submitting completed bid packages to clients
Working closely with estimating staff members,
And other related estimating department activities.
Must Have Qualifications:
10+ years experience in developing heavy highway estimates ranging from $50M to $500M
Strong math and computer skills are a must, as is proficiency with HCSS Heavy Bid estimating software and spreadsheets.
Knowledge of construction earthwork and grading practices.
Knowledge and understanding of union agreements and prevailing wage issues.
Demonstrated decision making skills.
Ability to work in high production environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Accuracy at all times.
