Chief Architect / Moscow
Summary:
The primary objective of this position is to provide technical vision and leadership and drive the technology and architecture of our client’s products.
Responsibilities:
Own the technical vision for our client’s products, designing the architecture and providing technical leadership
Effectively create technical change in partnership with architecture team
Guide development teams in architectural decisions
Participate in creating standards, practices, and processes for architecture
Provide input in technology and tool decisions
Provide technical training and mentoring of architects and designers
Solve complex technical issues to help business meet goals
Keep the company on leading edge of technical excellence
Act as the architectural quality champion
Provide input into product priorities
Education, Experience, Skills:
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, skills and experience
A minimum of 5 years leadership experience architecting complex enterprise-class software projects and large-scale distributed systems (including hardware, software and network systems)
Experience in formal software development methodologies and interaction with internationally distributed software development teams
Extensive knowledge of C#/.net and C++ technologies
Knowledge of Fat Client design
Demonstrated experience in object-oriented analysis and design using UML and design patterns
Experience designing real-time, high volume, high performance, multi-threaded systems
Experience in a transitional environment, moving from old to new architecture
Knowledge of asynchronous communications
Strong drive for high performance
Knowledge of futures trading or other financial markets
