An execellent opportunity to apply for the position of Hazardous Materials Officer for an International Airport in Saudi Arabia is available.
The position will be responsible for the following
Duties:
1. Responds with assigned personnel material and dangerous goods, to emergencies as required, and equipment to emergencies involving hazardous material. May also respond to other Fire related service.
2. Develops and maintains approved pre-fire plans for each building, flammable liquid storage site, hazardous material storage area, and open warehouse yard.
3. Maintain a current library of applicable codes, regulations charts, maps and other essential information, including a directory of emergency telephone numbers indicating support agencies from both on and off Airport property.
4. Responsible for identifying the type of appropriate equipment, tools and supplies required to cope with situations that could arise within the assigned Airport property.
5. Maintains assigned equipment according to codes, regulations and manufacturer’s recommendation. Initiate immediate action to correct any deficiencies observed and conduct daily follow-up until corrected.
6. Coordinate with appropriate government Airport representatives concerning the transportation, use and storage of hazardous material and dangerous goods.
7. Prepare reports and maintains historical records of each incident or accident.
8. Develops procedures for loss minimization, containment and decontamination.
9. Maintain computer aided data system listing essential relative information.
10. Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Shall have completed courses in and be qualified to N.F.P.A – 1021 Officer Level III. Shall also have completed a minimum of 120 training hours on subjects relating to Hazardous Material NFPA 472 qualified.

| Habilidades: |
Must be familiar with N.F.P.A Codes and IFSTA Manuals. Also must be in good physical health.
