Project Description
El Merk is an LNG project
Lot #6: This lot of the project consists of 3 parts, the first two being the most important:
1)Base De Vie; 2)Industrial Base; 3)Military Camp
This is in addition to infrastructure work.
JV with Bentini, an Italian company - Both OCI and Bentini are main contractors
Project value: About USD200 million
Owners: Sonatrach, Anadarko & Conoco Phillips
Start Date: Mobilization will start May 2009
Project Duration: 30 months including three months mobilization
Expected Completion Date: October 2011
Location: 1500km South of Algiers - approximately 250 km South East of Hassi Messaoud in the Algerian Sahara Desert

Qualifications
-Primavera P6 is a must
-Western nationality is preferrable
-An Engineering Degree is a must
-Experience in similar construction projects (i.e. oil and gas) is a must
-Experience with main contractors
This project is located in a hardship location - all candidates must be aware of this and willing to work in such areas.
